IEEE PES Chapter Meeting: City of Westerville 250kW Fuel Cell - Discussion & field visit May 25, 2005

Location: Westerville Electric Division, 139 E. Broadway, Westerville, Ohio

Directions: I-270 to Westerville Exit (State Route 3), take exit going north and continue through
downtown Westerville to Broadway (about 2 miles). Turn right and go east 1 ? blocks to Electric
Division Offices at 139 E. Broadway.

Presenter: Steve Garnick, who is the Operations Manager at the City of Westerville Electric Division.
Steve is a graduate of The Ohio State University where he earned his B. S. in Power Engineering.
He is also a Registered Professional Engineer in Ohio. Steve has 20 years experience in the electric
utility industry.

Program: There will be a brief presentation of the fuel cell given at the Westerville Electric Division
office. This will be followed by a field trip to the 250kW fuel cell installation location. The fuel
cell is located at Westerville?s Sub # 2 which is a short drive from the E. Broadway offices. The
Westerville Sub # 2 is at Maxtown Road and McCorkle Blvd, next to the AEP Genoa Substation.
