The Iceland Room in the Nordic Heritage Museum was planned and built by a dedicated group from the Icelandic Club of Greater Seattle. The exhibit illustrates the conditions in Iceland in the late 1800s and early 1900s, when the bulk of the emigration to North America occurred, and the way the immigrants adapted to their new environment in America.
