IBE Expo is a new ground-breaking partnership event in Mumbai. It''s India''s first broadcast technology convention that tackles convergence issues head-on. Right across India there are dramatic changes taking place i television, radio and new media. Technology convergence is driving new business opportunities and new business models. The Conclave commenced with a presentation by Anil Chopra, Convener of IBE which explained the philosophy and reasons for announcing the launch of IBE Expo 2007. In his presentation Anil Chopra touched the reasons on a need for an international broadcast platform in India. One of those reasons was the dissatisfaction reported to the IABM by Indian distributors with regard to the Broadcast India event.
