The London, England - born singer and concertina player is now one of Canada’s leading singers in the “anglo-celtic tradition.” A moving singer with a strong voice and an engaging stage presence, he has spent the last 37 years playing concerts and festivals in Canada and the US, and in that time has been "instrumental" in spawning a number of well-regarded bands, including Hang the Piper, Finest Kind, Jiig, and has performed often in duos, most recently with Alistair Brown. Ian's last recording, “Jiig” earned him the 2005 Canadian Folk MusicAward in the “Best Singer – Traditional” category. The concert will start at 8:00 PM at the Organization of Staff Analysts Hall (OSA), 220 E. 23 Street, suite 707 (between 2nd & 3rd Ave). General admission is $20, or $12 for seniors or low income individuals. Full-time students 22 and under are admitted free.
