This year's Shakespeare-themed Bronze Quill Awards banquet will be held Tuesday, June 2nd, at the lovely and intimate umlauf scultpure gardens — a breathtaking outdoor sculpture museum under a canopy of trees. Conveniently located near Zilker Park, Umlauf's stunning xeriscaped gardens and sparkling streams provide the perfect backdrop to our "Midsummer Night's Dream" celebration.

Cocktail service begins at 6:30 p.m.—sip on a glass of wine and relax while meeting new friends, catching up with old ones and taking in the displays of the best of Austin's professional communicators. Enjoy an open bar (beer and wine only) until 8:30 p.m. while enjoying a spectacular buffet from 2Dine4 Catering. You'll also have exclusive front row seats to an unforgettable performance by World's Fastest Hamlet!—where daring actors will attempt the feat of performing Shakespeare's Hamlet in fifteen minutes or less! Can they do it? Cheer on Austin Shakespeare's fastest, finest actors in this uproarious abridgement of Shakespeare's masterpiece. Starring award-winning actor and New Orleans transplant Justin Scalise and Esther's Follies showstopper Ted Meredith.

The evening of "stars" will continue with special guest speaker Robert Matney—a multi-talented actor (stage and voice), theater director, writer, marketer and social media expert. Matney is Trustee for Austin Shakespeare Festival and co-artistic director of Bedlam Faction, an award-winning radically collaborative theater collective. He's also a social media consultant and relationship advocate for Amicus, where he directs corporate communications and supports marketing and public relations efforts.

Finally, the evening will conclude with a presentation of awards to this year's talented Bronze Quill winners. Find out who takes home the prestigious Bronze Quill in each category and see why their work was judged as the best in Austin!
