This year’s Hurricane Science for Safety Leadership Forum will feature key note speaker Chairman Thompson, who may well address his legislation to help residents in coastal areas such as Florida invest in their physical and financial safety through means-tested federal income tax credits, loans and grants for home retrofitting and for private market insurance purchases. Also speaking is Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink of Florida, who has been active with hurricane and loss mitigation issues, as well as seeking to address her State’s related fiscal needs.
