Prime – An American Kitchen and Bar will be the meeting place for animal lovers to adopt a puppy, kitten, dog or cat from North Shore Animal League America on Thursday, July 21 between 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
In addition to spectacular views from Prime’s idyllic Huntington Harbor location, visitors will get a look at luxury cars from Ferrari Maserati of Long Island and luxury Azimut yachts from Surfside 3/Marine Max of Huntington which will be on display alongside NSALA’s mobile adoption unit.
Says co-owner of Prime Restaurant, Michael Bohlsen, “The Bohlsen family believes strongly in supporting our local community. Rescuing our four-legged friends from harm’s way, and finding safe and permanent homes, is fundamental to their and Long Islanders’ quality of life. Though the Animal League’s reputation is international, it does a terrific job right here, reaching the homes and hearts of Long Islanders. We are delighted to support such a local yet far reaching community cause.”
Says Beth Stern, North Shore Animal League America spokesperson, “I thank Prime for hosting this wonderful adoption event, which helps make it possible for North Shore Animal League America to rescue, nurture and find loving homes for approximately 20,000 dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens each year. Howard, Bianca (our bulldog) and I welcomed cats Apple and Walter into our home from NSALA, and as the Mutt-i-grees® Movement shows, there are so many wonderful animals to be found in local shelters and this is a Prime time to consider adding a canine or feline to the family.”
