Hunters of the Sky September 1, 2007

Hunters of the Sky, is presented by top volunteer bird handlers. The program travels all over the State providing a show that is filled with so much excitement, emotion, and fun that people sometimes don't realize they are learning at the same time!

This unit includes:

* birds of prey and their natural history
* species identification
* purpose of feathers
* anatomy of flight
* silent hunters
* environmental issues
* the roles of raptors
* and much more

Six or more live birds, including eagles, are presented for discussion and close viewing. Washington State Standards are met for academics. Questions are encouraged while participants become actively involved in the lectures.
