Short Cuts Cinema screens Hunky Dory (Marc Evans, 2011) on Wednesday 5th December at 7.30pm in the Studio Theatre.

Welcome to Swansea, 1976 during the hottest summer on record, where rehearsals are taking place for a high-school rock-opera version of Shakespeare's The Tempest. To engage her students, keen drama teacher Vivienne fights sweltering heat and general teenage apathy to put on an end of year musical that David Bowie would be proud of.

Hunky Dory is an unforgettable coming-of-age journey following a group of school friends in their last weeks before they are out in the real world. Don't miss this home-grown, nostalgic, feel-good flick staring Minnie Driver!
