"The Hungry Ear,” the library program celebrating the art of the short story, presents its annual Christmas Program. You will be entertained by two stories, each in their very different way, capture the spirit of Christmas. John Cheever's Christmas Is A Sad Season For The Poor is about a lonely elevator operator in a luxury apartment building who finds a way to celebrate the holiday while working. T.F. Powys' A Christmas Gift, tells of a bus driver and a special passenger on Christmas Day. Actors of the 'Hungry Ear Readers' Company will perform the stories. Come and be transformed!
