Free Outdoor screening of Rivers and Tides: Andy Goldsworthy working with Time

Join the Toronto Public Space Committee's Human River and Streets to Screens campaigns for an evening of inspiration along the Garrison Creek with education, crafts and an outdoor film screening.

Held in a ravine carved by the waters of the Garrison Creek, the Human River Film event explores the histories and environment of our city through education, crafts, music and film. Before the screening, learn about the Garrison Creek and urban stormwater issues, walk through the trees with LEAF or help make crafts for the Human River Walk (scheduled for October 21, 2007), all to the beat of Drummers from Exile. As the sun sets, settle down for our outdoor screening of Thomas Riedelsheimer's “Rivers and Tides”, an astonishing portrait of environmental sculptor Andy Goldsworthy. With the wind in the trees and dewdrops on the ground, participants will have the unique opportunity to view this film as it was meant to be.

The Human River Film night is a co-presentation between Human River and Streets to Screens in collaboration with LEAF and the Toronto Tree Tours, RiverSides, filmswelike and Drummers from Exile. Come and join us in the Trinity Bellwoods bowl, August 30!

Schedule of events:
6-8:30pm: information, crafts, art attack, Tree Tour at 7:30
8:30-10:30pm: Rivers and Tides
