Hull Armed Forces Day, Weekend - "Celebrating the past to the present" August 1, 2009

The event is a free event for the members of the public. The event is a family day. The Armed Forces Day & Veterans weekend is an event to celebrate the past to the present. The event in previous years has been extremely busy for the whole weekend, and last year was no exception. The event attracts in excess of 20,000 visitors from all over the region and beyond and receives national recognition from a variety of organisations. Some of the attractions to attend this year include Eli Jollys Hillbilly Western Re-enactment, WWI Memorabilia display with horses, Great War Society, Military vehicles, The Manchester Regiment, The Pontefract Guards, Northern WW2 Group and various military and veterans association and trade stands. There is restricted parking within the park.
