Huge Salsa Dance Party at Club Coco Boom

The largest Latin nightclub in Reno, Club Coco Boom, will be the site of a huge salsa party hosted by Mountain Salsa Dance. The festivities will include a full 1-hour beginning salsa lesson and a full 1-hour intermediate lesson, both at 8 pm. The beginning lesson will be taught by Double B of Mountain Salsa Dance and the intermediate lesson will be taught by Roberto Hernandez (2 time champion of the Salsa y Salsas Festival). At 10 pm there will be a Jack & Jill salsa dance contest. A Jack & Jill contest is where contestants are partnered with random contenders to show their skills of social dancing. Cash prizes total $240. $100 for 1st place couple, $60 for 2nd place couple, $40 for 3rd place couple and $40 for the crowd favorite. Special VIP guests include Espie Hernandez of Rumba Rica from Orange County, CA and Chuck Brown of Reno Dance Sensation from Chico, CA. $10 cover charge includes one free Miller Chill (or one bottle of water for non-drinkers) before Midnight.
