The trails of Huffhines Park come alive when the award-winning Huffhines Art Trails Festival celebrates its 33rd year October 24-25. This annual fall tradition is ideal for those searching for that perfect, unique holiday gift for friends, family, or themselves!

The Huffhines Art Trails Festival features over 150 local and out-of-state artisans and craftsmen showcasing a wide variety of contemporary, traditional and country crafts, as well as fine art. From jewelry to woodwork, metal work to fiber, painting to photography, pottery to glass- You’re sure to find a unique keepsake for yourself or someone special as you wind the trails in the beautifully landscaped Huffhines Park.

There’s performing art too! Huffhines Art Trails offers live entertainment on its very own “Front Porch” Stage. Talented North Texas musicians, as well as local performing arts groups, create a fun, festive mood in the Café Huffhines courtyard. Melvin Smith School of Dance gets things going Saturday followed by J. R. Byrd, the “one man show.” Back by popular demand is Camille Cortinas, she’s the perfect intro for those sing-a-long tunes by High Definition. And headlining the day are roots rockers Southbound Texas 35. On Sunday it’s Heartstrings opening for festival favorite Victor Andrada. Shoot Low Sheriff brings their Texas swing leading up to retro rocker Johnny Lloyd Rollins, and closing out the event are local pop rockers The Slack led by Chris Holt.

All this shopping and music is enough to make anyone hungry……our eclectic selections of tasty food are sure to satisfy any cravings you may be having. Joining us this year on the trails are Hillbilly KettleKorn, Mario’s Greek Cuisine, Conway’s Corny dogs, Texas Twist Soft Pretzels, Dippin Dots Ice Cream, Tropical Cowboy Steak and Bunch of Nuts. Huffhines Art Trails Festival also features Café Huffhines – our trademark café that offers delicious down home goodies and beverages.

Huffhines Art Trails Festival has stuff for kids too! There’s a built-in playground and a hay bale maze, and while the big kids are shopping the younger ones can participate in our “Huffhines Hunt,” an on-site scavenger hunt that takes you through the winding trails of the park! Stop by Huffhines Headquarters for your list and then bring it back when you’re finished to collect your treat!

Once again festival attendees can vote for their favorite pumpkin in the 2nd annual City of Richardson Departmental Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Last year’s winners included pumpkins cleverly decorated by the City’s Library, Purchasing and CITV departments.

A weekend full of ART, MUSIC, FOOD & FUN – A fall tradition!
