Opening act will be Paul Thorn. This should be a great way to open the 70th year of this concert series.

Hi,

Can I ask how you know that Huey Lewis is playing?
That has to be the worst idea I've ever heard. Stern Grove gets worse every year. Huey Lewis is washed up, sterile, boring, white-washed drivvle. He didn't have anything to offer 20 years ago, let alone now.

How depressing...

Thanks,
Jim

I dont remember at this point but it might have been Paul Thorn's website which listed Huey Lewis playing.

Huey Lewis had the crowd wanting more at his performance in "Chicago" , a couple of months back.

I personally went to the show just to see him. It also seemed thousands of others did as well.

i dont know whether to run away screaming, or rush to get in the front row

Don't be a sad & lonely hater, huckstersf--it's hip to be square.

huey lewis and the news played the coliseum in odessa, texas in september 1987 - my first concert. we left before the encore which included "Power of Love". I recall feeling sad about missing that.

Personally, I think Huey Lewis is awesome, and I'll be sad that I can't go.

spiraltime

they are a hometown band. it will be goofy nostalgic fun and they are decent musicians. it's a free concert and there's a huge variety of other stuff there this summer ;)

i'm heading over to enjoy the picnic-y-ness of it all!

waxpancake

I don't know about you guys, but I want a new drug.
