February 2 - Employment Law: Identify and apply key pieces of legislation that impact HR activities, including: TITLE 7, FEHA, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, CRFA, and more.

February 16 - Recruiting and Selection: Analyze the recruiting process and gain techniques for hiring the right people the first time, including: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.

March 2 - Compensation: Basic theory concentrating on job evaluation & analysis, and initial design & structure.

March 16 - Employee Benefits: Determine the right mix of benefits for your company, including mandatory and voluntary options, and overall administration.

March 30 - Performance Management: Identify the components of a performance management system and effective performance-related discussions, including basic structures, implementation, administration, and discipline.

About the Presenter
Jim Chamberlin, SPHR has over 35 years of HR experience in manufacturing, high tech, healthcare and public education both in union and non-union environments. He has extensive knowledge of State and Federal labor laws, compensation and benefits, and occupational health/safety. Jim has taught the SHRM Essentials of HR Management at NCHRA for the past 3 years.
