Abstract:

Brain research involves thorough investigation of its structure and
function, along with their correlations (in time and space), leading to
interepretations about the world around us. High performance computing has
been a cornerstone for understanding intricate technical details, as well
as, projecting such findings into various mathematical models for gaining
further insights. The major areas encompassed by it are various
neuroimaging modalities, single cell recording techniques, building models
and networks by integrating data from diverse modalities and applying
multiple computational techniques. The speaker will try to give an
overview of the various possible applications in some of the domains
mentioned above.
