How to Buy Local Food for Businesses February 8, 2005

Business owners and community members are invited to this event, co-sponsored by Slow Food Huron Valley and Living Economy Network, to learn more about how businesses can buy more local food. Jeremy Moghtader from Slow Food Huron Valley will present information about buying food from local farmers, and Dave Halman from Washtenaw Dairy will give us information about buying non-farm food locally. We'll also be hearing from Michael DiRamio, Program Manager of Washtenaw County's Agri-Food Economic Development Initiative, about plans to make it easier to buy food from local farmers in the future. There is a $2 cost for members of LEN and SFHV, and $5 for non-members - all are welcome. The event will start at 5:15pm on Tuesday, February 8th.
