Houston Ballet: Classically Contemporary May 10, 2009

Houston Ballet will perform a mixed repertory program showcasing the breadth of the company's repertoire: from great classical showpieces like George Balanchine's 'Tchaikovsky Pas de deux' to 'Solo,' a contemporary tour-de-force for three male dancers by legendary Dutch choreographer Hans van Manen. The evening will also feature the best of ballet today, with two recent works by Stanton Welch: 'Mediaeval Baebes,' a showcase for the company's women created in 2008, and 'Nosotros,' a glamorous, romantic display of talent in a magical, starlit setting.
