Bring together 50 artists, add live music and DJs in to the mix and sure enough Vancouver's hottest art audience will gather. The end result is Hot One Inch Action. Conceived by Jim Hoehnle and Chris Bentzen in 2004, Hot One Inch Action is the original, one-night only show of art, music and social interaction.

The original work of fifty different artists is presented on one inch buttons. These one inch buttons are displayed on the gallery wall and the audience is offered the opportunity to buy randomly selected buttons in bags of five. If the bag purchased does not have the desired button, you are invited to trade with the people around you. How bad do you want that button? To help encourage the trading: live music from The Parallels, a DJ and beverages.

Hot One Inch Action is a little bit different this year. Gallery Gachet will be hosting us from April 25-29, 2007 with regular gallery hours to view all the beautiful artwork from the past 3 years. On Saturday April 28, the gallery closes for the day while we hang this year's show and at 8pm, the Hot Action happens with live music and button trading fun. Hot One Inch Action is now accepting submissions! It's free to submit artwork and chosen artists receive 20 free copies of their button. Check out the submission guidelines for details. Don't delay, submit today! Submission deadline is Saturday April 14 at noon. Check out details on the site buttons.thisisplanb.net
