Hot Latin Wednesdays Salsa Fundraiser for the Cristian Rivera Foundation June 29, 2011

In a night that is to be filled with some of the Latin music industry’s biggest stars, on Wednesday, June 29th, LQ (Latin Quarter) will be hosting a salsa fundraiser for the Cristian Rivera Foundation as a part of the club’s “Hot Latin Wednesdays”. Renowned international salsa singer Jose Alberto (El Canario) and his orchestra will be performing, along with set pieces from DJ Norty Coto and DJ Wreck

Doors open at 6pm, with free drink specials from 6-7pm and free dance lessons at 8pm. Guests are encouraged to “dress to impress”, and there is a collared shirt requirement for men in attendance. To get on the guest list, visit www.nyctastemakers.com.

All proceeds from event will go to benefit the Cristian Rivera Foundation, a nonprofit organization that raises money and awareness to fight the incurable pediatric disease Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). DIPG primarily affects children ages 1-9, with a survival rate of only 3-18 months.

Both Alberto and DJ Wreck are members of the Cristian Rivera Foundation’s prestigious committee, including entertainment industry influences, Doug E. Fresh, Funkmaster Flex, DJ Camilo, Rapper Jim Jones, Kenan Thompson, Luis Guzman, and many others.
