You'll be transported to another time and place as you ride through the forests and mountains of a beautiful valley with a deep, historic gorge where iron mining took place in the mid to late 1800s! You’ll ride up the mountain to the top of the gorge where you will be able to look down into the scenic valley below. Then you will ride down into the gorge and between the ominous rocky cliffs. The terrain is so diverse you will feel like you’re in Colorado! The paths you will ride on during this trip are quite unique and different from most east coast trails and include wide-open paths along with rocky, mountainous single-track trails.

After the horseback ride we'll head to a local farm for an outdoor picnic in the sun. Then you’ll have the option to pick fresh strawberries which are only harvested during the month of June! Bring the strawberries home and make strawberry shortcake, strawberry-rhubarb pie, homemade jam, smash them up and dollop them on ice cream or homemade waffles, dip them in chocolate and share them with your significant other, or give them away to friends or family. There are so many wonderful things you can do with strawberries! And trust us, these strawberries taste nothing like the ones you buy in the grocery store, they are 100% times better! The farm also has a farm stand with fresh local vegetables along with a nursery full of beautiful flowers! It will be a wonderfully relaxing way to spend your afternoon.
