PLEASE REPOST WIDELY

The sixth annual “Horizons: Perspectives on Psychedelics” conference is to be held at the Judson Memorial Church on NYU campus in NYC on October 12-14. Horizons focuses on contemporary scientific research into the clinical applications of psychedelics, providing an invaluable forum for experts to share ideas, insights, and to rethink the future of psychedelics in medicine, art, culture, and history. This year, professors, researchers and practitioners from around the world will be speaking on state-of-the-art findings in psychedelic medicine, applications, and lab research. Speakers will include Ralph Metzner, Ph.D., psychedelic pioneer who collaborated with Leary during his time at Harvard and co-authored The Psychedelic Experience, and Charles Grob, M.D., principal investigator of the UCLA psilocybin/cancer anxiety study.

This year's topics include the use of MDMA (Ecstasy") to treat post-traumatic stress disorder; the effectiveness of psilocybin (from "magic mushrooms") in treating end-of-life anxiety in cancer patients; the use of South American visionary plant admixture, Ayahuasca, to treat medical diseases; and the unique neurological and perceptual underpinnings of the extraordinary, psychedelic experience.

Horizons is a special event, providing a unique opportunity to learn about psychedelics and to meet like-minded members of the community. Please join us and show your support for this crucial research. Student/in-need discounts and volunteer free admission available.
