Speaker Bios:

Supervisor Jerry Hill is a 36 year resident of San Mateo County. He is a business owner and licensed commercial pilot with a Degree in History and Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley. Jerry was elected to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors in June 1998, and re-elected in March 2002 and June 2006 to represent the 2 nd District, which includes the cities of San Mateo, Foster City, and Belmont. Jerry also served on the San Mateo City Council from 1991-1998, and as Mayor in 1994. During his time on the Board of Supervisors, Jerry has worked on a wide range of issues including transportation, healthcare, homelessness, disabilities, economic development, air quality and environmental protection. He serves on the San Mateo Medical Center Board of Directors, on the San Mateo County Transit District Board of Directors, and was recently appointed to the California Air Resources Board. Jerry is known for his efforts to promote good government and fiscal responsibility.
