"There is no shortage of people who will say that rock n roll is dead. But only a few have taken it upon themselves to lead the resurrection. For guitarist and songwriter Darren Nelson, it's Honeydust's whiskey-soaked brand of southern rock that could be the catalyst for this musical rebirth.
Channeling ZZ Top and Lynard Skynard, Honeydust's music bleeds muscle cars and moonshine. Electric guitars bounce and saw with a country twang that invokes drunk-0at-the-wheel Americana. But as the tempo slows for a lovesick ballad, the group's atmospheric guitars and two-part harmonies reach for Tom Petty and Band of Horses."
