Yes traditionally the slowest time of the year....however we have found a way to make it all affordable for music fans, as well as for musicians/bands.

AS WE LAUNCH OUR NON-PROFIT ORIGINAL MUSIC NETWORK FOR OUR LOCAL AREA
More than 10 Shows will span the first week of the new year, 4 Cities, for the HGR 2oo9 Fest, a hope to invigorate and sustain the music triangle of Volusia by offering 20 bands playing at 9 venues. Ormond, Daytona, New Smyrna, and Deland play host to local and touring bands in an incredible 10-dayz of great music and community. It is one last hootenanny before a very challenging year ahead of us. A special feature of the fest is 4 nights with The Halifax Contraband as they showcase some of the best musicians in this area and celebrate their bicentennial.

The HGR 2oo9 Fest is also serving as a membership drive for HomeGrownRoots GREEN CARD. A whole years membership is only $20, which grants participants discounts on the cover charges and beverages at HGR shows. Anyone that become a member prior to the HGR 2oo9 Fest will be given a FREE festival pass, good for all venues and shows during the 5 day HGR 2oo9 Fest. Otherwise individual covers will be charged at each venue, but several venues also offer free shows.
