Friday October 16th the Museum of the Confederacy will offer three special programs for Homeschooling families.

At 10:00 learn about Life on the Homefront with an interactive program highlighting the Civil War’s impact on women, African-Americans, and the economy of the South.

At 11:00 join us for White House/Schoolhouse: Did you know Jefferson Davis homeschooled his children or that the Confederate White House became one of Richmond’s first public schools? These topics and more will be discussed on this 45-minute guided tour of the wartime home of the Davis family.

At 1:00 costumed interpreter Lisa Denton will conclude our day’s activities with Homespun, an interactive presentation on daily life during the Civil War.

All programs include an audio tour of our main gallery. Cost: $3.00 per person per program attended. Or attend all 3 for $8.00 per person!
