Home Movie Day is an annual, worldwide event organized by amateur film lovers to lure these neglected films out of your attics and closets and onto a screen for everyone to enjoy. Home movies offer a unique view of decades past (often in gorgeous color), and are an important part of personal, community and cultural history. Participation is simple: Bring one or more reels of your 8mm, Super8 or 16mm home movies to the event and we'll inspect, repair and project them on a first-come, first-served basis. Damaged films will not be screened, but preservation specialists will offer expert advice on caring for "at-risk" materials.
No films of your own? No problem!
Just come and watch the show.
IT'S FREE--and parking is free too!
(just enter the lot behind the theater, from Homewood Avenue).
