Triple-X Productions presents a Holiday Blast Off on Thursday December 22nd featuring local artists and musicians coming together to raise awareness for the hungry and underprivileged in the city. This is a special benefit event for the Fort York Food Bank.

Leif Bloomquist was classically trained in clarinet and percussion as a child, and now plays with EBM, Dark-Wave, and Techno sounds to create the futuristic vibe of his one-person outfit, Schema Factor. Recording and performing with this project since the early 90?s has given him the musical outlet he craves. The hypnotic and haunting live shows are definitely a combination of electronics and industrial beats. www.schemafactor.com

kQuattro are an electro-garage duo that makes use of analog synthesizers and guitars to create a beat heavy concoction of Godzilla riffs and volume. The team is Mike Marshall on drums and David Psutka on guitar, synthesizer and vocals. Their first release, "Grow up and Blow up" EP, is scheduled for early 2006.

As the name implies, Girl and the Machine is a girl and a bunch of machines, namely other musicians. The 5-piece outfit combines art, music, and video to create a treat for the five senses. Malaysian born multilingual-strict-vegetarian front girl, Jackie Kiew, handles the seductive vocals and electronic samples. The resulting sounds come off as a combination of tribal dance, psychedelic rock, and space-pop. The lyrical content is most often spiritual, political, and poetical. www.girlandthemachine.com

DJ Triple-X mixes it up before, between and after performances.
