Hogs 'N Dogs Night at Hoosier Park to benefit Countryside Animal Rescue

The fifth annual Hogs 'N Dogs Night is quickly approaching at Hoosier Park. The event, which features a motorcycle show and Weiner Dog races, is set for Saturday, June 9. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Countryside Animal Rescue.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. to the sounds of local band Power Tubes. Registration will also begin for the motorcycle show with five categories offered, including Best Import, Best Paint, Best American, Best Custom, and People's Choice. The fee to enter a motorcycle is $10 with the first 100 motorcycles receiving a Hoosier Park t-shirt. All winners will receive a plaque and $100.

In addition to the motorcycle show, the Flying Frisbee Dogs will perform during the evening. Several heats of Weiner Dog races will be held with a $10 sign-up fee. All preliminary round winners will return for the final to be crowned "Top Dog" of the event. Gift bags will also be available to the first 30 dogs. Sign-ups end Friday, June 1.

Countryside Animal Rescue, a not for profit organization in Madison County, provides pet education and animal welfare along with relief and assistance to unwanted dogs and cats in the area. Special souvenir Hogs 'N Dogs t-shirts will be available for a $10 donation to the pet welfare group. Countryside Animal Rescue will also have several dogs on site which are available for adoption.

A special hot dog stand will be available throughout the evening with numerous toppings. Also, kids' activities will be available, including a Moon Bounce, face painting, and an appearance by Hoosier Park's mascot, Hoosier Buddy.
