A train pulls into the station – it’s the end of the line. A Hobo jumps from a freight car, hoping for a fresh start in a new city. Instead, he finds himself trapped in an urban hell. This is a world where criminals rule the streets and Drake, the city’s crime boss, reigns supreme alongside his sadistic murderous sons, Slick & Ivan. Amidst the chaos, the Hobo comes across a pawn shop window displaying a second hand lawn mower. He dreams of making the city a beautiful place and starting a new life for himself. But as the brutality continues to rage around him, he notices a shotgun hanging above the lawn mower... Quickly, he realizes the only way to make a difference in this town is with that gun in his hand and two shells in its chamber.

Starring Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner, Soldier of Orange, Sin City) as the Hobo, HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN was written by John Davies, and directed and edited by Jason Eisener. HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN is based on the fake trailer of the same name which was created by Eisener, Davies and Rob Cotterill. The trailer won the SXSW Robert Rodriguez Grindhouse Trailer Competition and was then distributed theatrically, and was shown along with Robert Rodriquez and Quentin Tarantino’s film Grindhouse.

“It's crazy, it's messy, it's even got a few moments of truly schizophrenic weirdness -- but Hobo is also the sort of gleefully broad piece of grindhouse exploitation we don't get much of these days.” ---Scott Weinberg, FEARnet

“In this campy, shoot-'em-up, director Jason Eisener plasters the screen with gory imagery and wildly stylized action scenes. Blazing with a nasty neon glower and smoked with nutso action, Hobo with a Shotgun is a grindhouse hoot.” ---Duane Byrge, The Hollywood Reporter

“…one must grudgingly admire director Jason Eisener's willingness to go over the top and beyond, and the film certainly delivers what it promises. Picked up by Magnet, ‘Shotgun’ should satisfy midnight movie gore-hounds.” —Andrew Barker, Variety
