Hobby Day February 14, 2009

This February is the month that we celebrate President Abraham Lincoln's Bicentennial. Our Hobby Day group is hosting a special event for children under the age of 18. Our sponsor, Brookhurst Hobbies has donated a supply of one inch tall Civil War toy soldier kits for the kids to assemble and paint. There will be a number of historical modeling experts on hand to help the kids have fun doing something that doesn't involve computer games! One of our members will have a dynamic diorama of hundreds of metal toy soldiers that were featured in on the television show CSI. Stop on by and give you children something to add to the classroom discussion on the Civil War. The hall is open for games, hobbies and fun from 8:00am until 4:00pm. The Civil War modeling and game starts at 10:00am.
