Neil Giuntoli's 'Hizzoner' is a personal look at Richard J. Daley -- authoritarian politician, family man and dynasty builder, whose life was inextricably bound to Chicago, the city he loved. 'Hizzoner' calls forth from history of the '60's and '70s while featuring a theatrically intimate look at the man atop Chicago's political machine. The show concentrates on the man himself and how he viewed Chicago as his city; how he saw his associates and the population who depended on his leadership. Hizzoner offers up personalities who worked with Daley and some with whom he had a crucial crossing of paths. There is also a glimpse into how "Da Mare" may have seen himself.
