Hitch, Torque & Twist again December 1, 2007

Stand Up Dance is pleased to present Hitch, Torque and Twist again featuring Meagan O’Shea, Lucy Rupert, Jenn Goodwin and Heidi Strauss. This spirited contemporary dance performance runs for two nights only, December 1 and December 2, 2008 at the intimate performance space Hub 14.
After the success of the initial Hitch, Torque & Twist (July 2007), curator Meagan O’Shea once again combines the talents of four internationally acclaimed solo dance performers and unites them in an evening of contemporary dance art infused with comedic physical theatre and structured improvisation. Hitch, Torque & Twist originated as a response to a lack of dance activity in Toronto during the summer of 2007- the first summer in Toronto without the fringe Festival of Independent Dance Artists and International Dance Festival. O’Shea wanted to bring together her peers and allow them the opportunity to create community through solo activity. The result is quickly becoming a vital addition to Toronto’s art scene.
