Join Dr. Anna Lillios, Associate Professor of English at UCF, for a lively conversation and examine how their relationship developed against the backdrop of segregation and became one of the 20th century’s most intriguing literary friendships. Dr. Lillios is the author of the book, “Crossing the Creek: The Literary Friendship of Zora Neale Hurston and Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.” She is also the executive director of the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Society and director of the Zora Neale Hurston Electronic Archive. 10:30 a.m.-noon.
