966 Old Church Road
Corrales, New Mexico 87048

Corrales Historical Society Past President Mary Davis leads a tour of the history of Albuquerque’s South Valley - both sides of the river - past the sites of 18th century villages and haciendas, a morada, and including a brief tour of Barelas and a tour of the Gutierrez-Hubbell House - a mid 19th century adobe – led by a descendent of the Hubbell family.

Among the many sites, we will stop at the old Armijo School (1914) - the last remaining example of "modern" county schools built early in the 20th century and now a charter school and Joy Junction to tour an old school building that once housed Lourdes High School.

The tour includes lunch at the Barelas Coffeehouse.

COST: $28 covers the bus, lunch, and any guide charges and tips.

DIRECTIONS TO OLD CHURCH: From the intersection of Alameda Rd (NM 528) and Corrales Rd. (NM 448), go north for 3 miles to Old Church Rd, turn left (west) and proceed 0.3 miles to the Old Church.
