Hiromi Uehara first mesmerized the jazz community with her 2003 debut, 'Another Mind.' The keyboardist/composer's second effort, 'Brain' won the Horizon Award at the 2004 Surround Music Awards, Swing Journal's New Star Award and three other international honors. Hiromi "continues to change the musical landscape everywhere she performs," says pianist Ahmad Jamal, who co-produced 'Another Mind' and has taken an active interest in her career. While she has maintained a busy performing and recording schedule with her acclaimed Sonicbloom Quartet, she has also taken time to pursue some other performing opportunities.
