Hinckley Armed Forces Day Service June 25, 2009

Servicemen, women and veterans in the district are to be honoured at a special service at St Mary's Church at 12noon to mark National Armed Forces Day. This year the service will include insightful interviews portraying the lives of veterans from the Army, Navy and Airforce. During the service Westfield Junior choir will be singing a selection of wartime songs.

This will be followed by a concert in the Argents Mead bandstand at 1pm when Eric Sinclair and The Sentimentalist will perform a selection of wartime music and songs. In addition wartime memorabilia and vehicles will also be on display.
