A concert at sunset at St. Francis Lutheran Church introduces the new Hildegyrlz von SF, the first Hildegyrlz in existence, presenting a Lenten Reflection Concert on the Wisdom of Three: “…one flies on high, another labors above the earth, and the third hovers everywhere.” (An excerpt from O Virtus Sapientiae by Hildegard von Bingen, c. 1098-1179)
Hildegyrlz is a network of Hildegyrlz von X’s igniting the entrepreneurial spirit within women all over the world to start up their own ensemble, perform high quality music, display their passion for mesmerizing medieval chanting to singing new music, and happen to people everywhere they perform.
Hildegyrlz von SF is the first official Hildegyrlz in existence specializing in pure-toned chanting singing reflective music from the medieval era to the new will perform glorious chants by Hildegard von Bingen, motets by Palestrina, and a lovely reflective piece by Rutter arranged for three voices; blended with doses of introspective organ improvisations and readings. Special guests include organist, Dr. David Schofield and reader, Aline Soules.
