Hilarity Bites Comedy Club returns to Blakes Coffee House in Newcastle as Hilarity Bites New Act of 2009 Andrew Ryan introduces John Whale & Idiots of Ants.
Following being nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award, winning Chortle’s best sketch act and appearing alongside John Cleese in the Britcom Gala at the Montreal ‘Just For Laughs’ Festival, the Ants (BBC1, BBC2, E4, Radio 4) bring their fast-paced brand of sketch-comedy to Newcastle.

This slick foursome have quickly become renowned for their uniquely off-kilter take on the world around them and the ‘Internet sensations’ (BBC Online) have amassed millions of hits online with clips including ‘Wii Breakfast’ and the most viewed BBC3 comedy clip on YouTube: ‘Facebook in Real Life’.
