The Heurich House, a DC landmark on the National Registrar for Historic Places, will host their holiday parties on Saturday, December 9 and Friday, December 15 from 6-8PM this year. The event is open to the public and a $10 donation ($5 for students and seniors, children under 12 welcomed free) is asked for admission. The Washington Saengerbund and the Alpine Singers and Alpine Dancers will provide entertainment for the event, performing traditional German routines and holiday carols. In addition to the entertainers and refreshments, guests can wander the grounds and home and have their questions answered by docents attending to various rooms. Kathy Breckbill, volunteer coordinator, remarked, “The DC community has been incredibly generous and this event will be a celebration of the home, of music, of German culture, and of the holidays for all to enjoy!”
