[Directed by Joel Zwick]

Two countries, the stories of two history-altering events, one musical evening.
Known for his award winning George Gershwin Alone, Monsieur Chopin and Beethoven, As I Knew Him, newly appointed Colburn board member Hershey Felder has chosen The Colburn School for the presentation of two world premieres.

Nine Hours on Tenth, is the unknown story of President Lincoln’s last hours and features Hershey Felder as storyteller accompanied by The Colburn Orchestra led by Yehuda Gilad, Music Director. Composed and arranged by Felder, the score presents the melodies of America’s greatest folk song composers in a tale of one of this country’s most historic days.

The Aliyah Concerto, the musical story of the creation of the State of Israel, opens the performance and features Colburn faculty member and renowned pianist Ory Shihor.
$250 ticket holders are invited to an exclusive after-party with Hershey Felder, Colburn Musicians and faculty following the opening night performance.
