Funfest-HERMISTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PRESENTS THE
CELEBRATING OREGON'S Sesquicentennial
4th Annual Hermiston Community FunFest celebrating Oregon’s 150th Birthday. The event will be held on July 11th this year. The fun filled event will be held on Main Street and at the Umatilla County Fairgrounds. The Chamber of Commerce formed a committee of business people who wanted to bring to Hermiston a family oriented festival. That is why we are starting the day at 7am with a 5k walk/run and a 10k run and proceeds will go to the Hermiston High School Cross Country Team and a Rotary breakfast. The festival will also include children’s activities, including games; face painting & the kids have more fun dressing up for the teddy bear parade which begins at 9:30am. OMSI will be located at the old Hermiston Herald building and will provide a world of learning to Hermiston’s Main Street. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmm Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmm start your engines as the lawn mowers race to the finish line down by Sherrell Chevrolet starting at 10am. Hermiston Parks and Recreation will have lots of games for the kids to play.

Take a Bite out of Hermiston “Celebrate Hermiston Watermelon” There will a best dressed watermelon contest. Bring your watermelon to the stage between 9:00am & 9:30am as we celebrate the Hermiston Watermelon. There will be judges there and prizes given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Don’t forget to enter the hotdog eating contest. Last year it was a hoot!

5K and 10K Run and a 5K Walk will get you in shape for the day. Come out and show your support for the Hermiston High School Cross Country Team. There will be a medal for everyone

The food booths are always popular at the Funfest, and this year will be an exciting culinary experience. The Red Express will be providing the festival with the finest goods to eat and drink. The summer festival favorites: hot dogs, burgers, cotton candy, snow cones, lemonade, ice cream, salads and lots more yummy’s for all to eat, don’t for get the family style dinner provided by the Pheasant on Main Street $.
ART ART ART Check out the fantastic collection of artistry at the local union office on Main Street, you won’t want to miss this collection of local art.

There are more than 40 booths and activities, GAMES and contests that will be located on Hermiston’s Main Street USA.

There is a line up of entertainment on stage all day long. While enjoying the family dinner come listen to Cowboy Poet Marty Campbell, live music by: Legacy, Big Steve and theTrain Wreck and more, Tri Cities Steel Band, karaoke, cultural dances and entertainment and more.
