The Corrales Historical Society Invites Everyone to Join Us for

Heritage Day 2006
Saturday, May 13th from 10 am to 4 pm

The Corrales Historical Society will celebrate Heritage Day 2006 with a number of children?s activities, a powerpoint presentation of old photos (some never before exhibited), a quilt exhibition, tours, and a selection of material from their archives.

Tours will include tours of the old cemetery, a ditch tour, and a walk through Corrales? historic central area. All events start or take place at the Old San Ysidro Church on Saturday, May 13th from 10 to 4.

Children?s activities include corn shelling with an old-fashioned corn sheller, followed by grinding the corn on ancient stone metates. CHS docents will also have tables for making tin ornaments and painting wood retablos.

CHS docents will offer guided tours of the Old Church and have books on Corrales and other gift items for sale.
