The acclaimed Swedish novelist Henning Mankell talks about his Swedish noir thriller The Troubled Man ($26.95). A retired high-ranking naval officer vanishes in a forest near Stockholm. The official investigation has nothing to do with Detective Kurt Wallander, but the disappeared man is his daughter’s future father-in-law. Soon, Wallander finds himself caught up in elaborate Cold War espionage activities. Mankell’s many books include The Man from Beijing.
