Be among the first to see the MPM's newest, and biggest, exhibit. The Hebior Mammoth is an artifact with great significance to the state of Wisconsin - it was found less than 40 miles from the Milwaukee Public Museum on a farm in Kenosha County, and its bones, which contain significant butchering marks, are the oldest evidence of human habitation in North America. See a full-size casting of the mammoth in the Museum Atrium.
