Heartsfield, called "The Grateful Dead of the Midwest" and the "Sweetheats of Lincoln Avenue," toured throughout the 70s, spreading its infectious brand of foot stompin' good-time country rock all across the United States in a tour-de-force of 200-300 dates per year. They played every club, festival, concert hall and college campus just about everywhere and were overwhelming favorites on FM radio stations around the country. Leadfoot Stringband opens.
