OHSU's Heart Research Center and South Waterfront Community Relations co-host the Science on the Waterfront Series, featuring Dr. Linn Goldberg. As the head of Health Promotion and Sports Medicine at OHSU, Linn Goldberg, M.D., F.A.C.S.M, knows a healthy lifestyle helps prevent illness. Learn how just two hours of exercise a week can reduce your risk for heart disease, slow down (and even reverse) aging, lower your chance of developing diabetes, strengthen your bones, burn excess fat, increase your strength and endurance and elevate your mood.
Mood-elevating appetizers and beverages will be offered, as well as a variety of relaxing teas from Spa Chakra at the Avalon Hotel. March Wellness representatives will be on hand with information about their exercise programs.
This event is FREE and OPEN to the Public.
