Hazel-Atlas Silica Sand Mine Tour April 24, 2010

Explore the underground through a guided tour and learn its history, geology, and the methods used to mine the sandstone. Advance tours of one and one-half hours by reservation are offered at 11am, 1pm, and 2pm, March 14th through November. A 10 am tour is available to groups of 10 or more. First come/first served tours are offered at noon and 3pm only. Must be at least 7 years old, parent participation required. Parking fee may be charged. This program is not wheelchair accessible.
