The Grand Philharmonic Choir
concludes its critically acclaimed season with

Haydn’s great oratorio
The Creation
Saturday, May 9, 7:30 pm at Centre In The Square

A Spectacular Grand Finale for the 2008-2009 Season!

“The Creation is that rare thing: a supreme masterpiece of optimism.
The fact that Haydn was able to present this philosophy convincingly,
without ever falling into clichés, is an act of genius unparalleled in history.
In fact, the music sounds as fresh today as it did when it was first written.”

The Creation is a sweeping and dramatic production. “Haydn’s supreme achievement.” ~The BBC~

Howard Dyck conducts the Grand Philharmonic Choir, the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony and three of Canada’s renowned soloists:

“Even as he was writing it, Haydn thought of The Creation as the summit of his entire life’s work, and certainly that is how many generations of music-lovers have perceived the oratorio.”
